The bulk of the damage appears to be in the Old Kingston and County Road 68 area of Marbury. Several eye witnesses reported seeing a funnel cloud as the storm roared through. It appeared to be a storm from the same supercell thunderstorm that dropped a tornado that caused widespread damage in Selma about half an hour earlier than when the Autauga storm struck.ĭozens of homes were destroyed and dozens more damaged in the path of the storm, said Ernie Baggett, director of the Autauga County Emergency Management Agency.
